Brexit is why everyone’s taxes are going up. If that doesn’t get cross party support nothing will. The ideologues need to pop themselves into the bin and let serious people take the wheel
Why is Starmer becoming more confident criticising Brexit? Because quietly, without any great drama, a consensus has been reached. It's a disaster inews.co.uk/opinion/brex...

The ECHR doesn’t actually have much impact on deportations:

-proportion of foreign national offenders who have successfully appealed against deportation from UK on human rights grounds:
0.73 %

-how often the ECHR has ruled against UK in cases relating to immigration rules: 3

Corbyn lost this argument
It is like a cruel but accurate joke someone made up about the left: "Two Corbynites walk into a pub and fall out over the definition of Corbynism. One of them was Corbyn."

Just join the Greens, Zarah. You will be so much happier.

What Happened to Labour's 2024 Voters?

Using the recent wave of the @britishelectionstudy.com I look at people who voted Labour in 2024:
- How many are still with the party?
- How many have left?
- Why might that be?

TLDR: they've left because of economic issues/concerns, probably.
What Happened to Labour's 2024 Voters?
The who, what, when, how and huh of why Labour has lost so much support in such a short period of time

I remember when the right wing commentariat insisted the world would be a far safer place with Trump as president. At what point are these people going to accept that they are fucking wrong about everything? What more proof do they need?

This simply isn't true. It was entirely down to the fact he couldn't campaign for leave while a cabinet member (check the date of the article). The reason he gave was completely specious and self-serving and no one believed it at the time.
