Our roleplaying game:
- squirms with aquatic awfulness
- invites revenge upon King George III
- has diagrams explaining how wind works
- is now funded
- still won't pay my bills (but YOU could change that, maybe)

Here's a thoughtful thread disentangling notions of virtue from labour and commerce; price point advice; and how to lead a good creative life. Brainfood for small time makers of all stripes.
Saw an interesting post freaking out about the upcoming Royal Mail changes. They’re an inconvenience, and imho not worth getting super upset about. Save your energy. But! It made me think and uh oh here’s a thread 🧵

Félix Vallotton was a painter and printmaker born #onthisday in 1865. He worked in woodcuts in the 1890s and began to focus on painting around 1900 using blocks of colour that mimicked his printing style.

Once used a plane toilet after Dolph Lundgren. He'd just shaved. I briefly contemplated eating the trimmings in the hope of absorbing some fraction of his power.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

The greatest year for videogames that ever was. I think Galaxy is probably the most timeless title here, but the thrill of opening The Orange Box is a memory that may never be beaten. Valve spoilt us rotten.
...aaaand we're back! It's the Big One

Quote this with your favourite game NOW that was released in 2007, and what your favourite was THEN (if you had one)

Localisations/early access count, remasters/ports don't. Remakes depend.

Two-way ties count.

I won't list ten because I know I will never get round to them all and/or change my mind when something new pops up. But I will DEFINITELY (maybe) play:

Blades in '68
The One Ring: Hands of the White Wizard
His Majesty the Worm

Oh, and Gold Teeth too, ofc, assuming I'm not sick of boats by then! 😬
10 TTRPGs I want to play/run in 2026:

- The Walking Dead
- TEETH
- Nimble TTRPG
- SPINE (Solo)
- Coriolis: The Great Dark
- TERMINUS (using Delta Green)
- Doomsong
- Slugblaster
- His Majesty The Worm
- One More Song (Solo)
10 TTRPGs I want to play/run in 2026:

Deathmatch Island
Triangle Agency
Orbital Blues
Blades in '68
Dragonbane
Haunted West
Flabbergasted!
Brindlewood Bay
The Last Caravan
Dialect

Number of these I'll probably get to play/run:

1 (maybe 0)

A former flatmate of mine used to get hammered every night and fall asleep with the Jeeves and Wooster DVD menu open, the theme playing at full volume, looping and looping and looping. I have, unwittingly, probably listened to Anne Dudley's music than any other composer. (And I still like it!)
Wow! TIL about Anne Dudley. Not only was she in Art Of Noise, she collaborated with a number of outstanding musicians including Jaz Coleman and The Associates, and did the music for dozens of films and TV shows including Jeeves and Wooster and The Crying Game!

Essentially, I think that LLM-generated dialogue only makes sense if you believe that the product of writing is words.

But the product of writing isn't words, any more than the product of justice is prisoners, or the product of love is weddings. The product of writing is meaning.

I am here for the henge sass on my timeline today.
Heard a lot of you chatting shit about Newgrange, and I'll admit it's a solid B-tier henge, but Avebury is the thinking man's henge - it encircles a large part of a village. You can live in a henge.
