I would like to suggest that rather than DNA testing mental health patients for reasons, we could fund existing care properly?

Because of Brexit, the UK GDP is 6–8% lower than it would have been, business investment is 18% lower than in comparable economies, and both employment and productivity are around 4% lower. Can’t wait to see in a decade how Trump has damaged the US economically.
The economic cost of Brexit has just been laid bare – and it’s devastating
A decade on, the economic cost of Brexit has just been laid bare – and it’s devastating. Here's what the figures say.

This is the Gov looking for your input on the BBC. It takes a while to complete (15/20 mins) but it’s pretty comprehensive and covers most aspects.

Please share. I’m surprised many people haven’t seen it yet.

The UK was declared measles free in 2017.

Vaccine programs completely eliminated it.

Since then, pro sickness conspiracy theorists and anti science idiots have enabled its return.
“Seven schools and a nursery have reported more than 60 suspected cases of measles in an area of north London, and labs have confirmed 34 cases since January 12. Some children have been treated in hospital.”

Since a handful of hate filled people protested outside RNLI HQ yesterday because they're angry that crews don't discriminate in their rescues and work to save all lives at sea you might want to show your support with a one off or regular donation.

Donate to the RNLI and help save lives at sea
Your donations really make a difference. We depend on your generosity to educate people to stay safe and prevent tragedies on and offshore. Donate here.

The Dublin Agreement was a huge deterrent. People knew if they arrived in UK & had claimed elsewhere, approved or denied, they would immediately be returned. Now that data sharing is no longer an automatic right. The UK lost access to several shared mechanisms when it left the EU

Wild to see wealthy Reform politician "explaining" to poor people they don't understand their own experience.

Let's make sure every single person in Gorton & Denton (and the country!) knows exactly that Reform is bankrolled by dodgy donors. Mask is off.

Walking the dog when it’s raining is better if you just embrace getting wet and dress accordingly, while listening to a podcast, such as @quietriotpod.bsky.social 👍🏻

Of course the damp dog smell is a side effect to be endured but at least we both got our exercise 😁

Farage has had politicians tying themselves in knots to get immigration numbers down, but here's the truth:

Low immigration, especially if combined with relatively high emigration, spells death for the economy.
UK migration could be negative this year – how will that hit the economy?
Universities, builders and health trusts are feeling the squeeze, as thinktank says effect of zero net migration could be similar to Brexit

Exactly. Ukraine has been keeping Putin’s Russia occupied. They’ve fought valiantly and Russia has gained so little ground. We need to help them finish the job. They are heroes.
PM Tusk:

Some say that Ukraine should be grateful for everything.
The truth is exactly the opposite. The rest of us should be grateful to Ukraine.
