They knew.

They lied.

Plastic producers have known for more than 30 years that RECYCLING is NOT an economically or technically feasible plastic waste management solution.

Murray Watt has issued a $14million bandaid for the SA algal bloom situation. Meanwhile he graciously fosters the fossil fuel industry and their sponsorship of Labor.... and carries on regardless. #climatechange #auspol

Well, surprise surprise! The real impacts of rushed legislation championed by a 'bread and circuses' team of politicians? #auspol #SApolitics Great analysis from Bill Browne at @australiainstitute.org.au

To understand and contextualise Australia's COP31 bid, you need to understand Australia's by far largest source of carbon emissions: its fossil fuel exports. @timinclimate.bsky.social does a great job at breaking it down: timinclimate.medium.com/australia-em...
Australia Emissions 101: It’s the exports.

My memory bank says Alexander Downer was the Foreign Minister when John Howard took us into an illegal war in Iraq.

And it has always been my opinion that Downer should in fact be standing with Howard in the dock at The Hague to answer charges of war criminality. #auspol #StopIsrael #FreePalestine

On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, everything that led to the Holocaust is in danger of being forgotten.
The Nazis channeled the demands of oligarchs, scapegoated minorities and replaced democracy with a new imperium. Those politics are returning.

Same for me!
We had to have a new petrol hire car while ours was in for repair - it was horrible. Noisy, rough ride, auto gear shifts - never going back.

I wonder how many EV haters have actually tried one?
Funny how the LNP have gone quiet on bashing EVs isn’t it.
Now that they would be risking alienating a fair few voters in seats they want to retain or win

As soon as I drove an EV I was never going back
My EV is the best car I have ever owned. Its fast, quiet, turns on a dime & it runs on sunshine thanks to the solar panels on our roof. I ain’t never going back.
Have you heard the good news?

92% of EV owners would buy another one(the media got it wrong in their reporting.

EVs are fast, fun & super convenient. They're helping lower carbon emissions & I'm among the 92%. I've leased 3 Volts, the Fiat 500E & just got a Mach E
