We have to keep asking why de-mining organisations and donors refuse to do de-mining work in Myanmar. De-mining is possible. Local administrations and people want it.
Landmines and unexploded ordnance continue to cause casualties in areas of Myanmar affected by conflict. UNICEF states that 357 individuals have been injured in Myanmar in the first half of 2025.

Press freedom in AA-controlled areas has been called into question by local media due to its restrictions on information gathering and arrests of reporters on “security grounds.”

Burmese military air attacks in Ma Mu village, Mutraw, killed a 4 year old boy and injured 12 villagers. All 12 houses in that small village were destroyed, 12 Dec 2025. The Burmese military have been escalating airstrikes and military offensives across the country ahead of their sham elections.
