That sounds great. But in my line of work, it’s pretty useless.
And even if it can automate some tasks, I’m still not convinced LLMs are good enough to replace most white collar jobs as promised.
It’s a catastrophe among creative workers in advertising and video games though.

The jobs I’ve seen most impacted are graphic designers, illustrators and other creatives in advertising and videogames. Also translators, but that’s been around for a while.
It’s tragic for these sectors, but it’s not the global catastrophe that was announced.

Would you please give me a specific example that is useful to you and a marked improvement from before the implementation of Claude?

Would you share your academic literature on these subjects please?
You can reference a bibliography and I’ll go find the texts myself.
Thanks!

AI is an umbrella term that encompasses numerous different technologies. If you are talking about LLMs, according to reporting, no it’s not getting better, and according to a few, is doomed to be getting actually worse.
Unless you are talking about another type of AI ?

The potential for upheaval is precisely why economic elites wield AI as a weapon to threaten workers, even as we've seen time and again that AI cannot actually replace what humans do.

You can take these dynamics seriously without buying into the framing of the people doing the threatening.
I'm not even saying that's the most *likely* possibility, but it's just very clear that the likelihood of that outcome as increased and even if there's, like, a 1 in 10 change that "AI replaces most to all white collar jobs in 10 years" that's an *enormous* risk to the social order!

Just FYI.

But it mostly doesn’t work. Check out 404 media and Verge reporting on AI.
The instances where AI can effectively replace humans are very few, and it’s not delivering after years of hype.

L’étude est intéressante, mais sachez que le bot est développé entièrement par l’UQAM en vase clos. Ce n’est pas une IA commerciale.
L’objectif était de voir si une interaction positive pouvait faire baisser la radicalité des incels.

Notice how the popular media narrative has moved on, while people on the ground in Minneapolis are still struggling and crying out that things are as bad as ever. This is how fascist regimes operate — overreach, recalibration, normalization. Get louder, not quieter.
