ICE is rotten to the core. It must be abolished and replaced with a limited purpose agency.
I won’t support additional funding for ICE unless we put guardrails in place to make sure ICE is better trained and actually focused on making our communities safer.

right ICE right now is having a hard enough time maintaining the current tempo of operations with most of their efforts focused on the 46th largest city in the country
so you see where this presents problems if they try to block election enforcement at multiple cities nationwide

America doesn’t “work” anymore, as defined by the Constitution and the legal system we have relied on. Imagine a president who would send ICE to monitor specific polling stations. They would do as good a job as they would rounding up criminal illegal immigrants.

What is wrong with you people?!? You don’t have to pull every ballot box to spoil an election. You could just focus on California, just on big cities, just on +D polling stations. There. It’s done. Election spoiled. Now what are you gonna do?

“orders the military to seize ballot boxes” is even more load-bearing; there are more than 116,000 polling locations in the united states, more ballot drop offs, and two states are mail-first, that’s an enormous logistical effort
This would be terrifying if control was actually going to come down to a small number of closer races. But it’s not, and nobody frothing into a panic over it will internalize that load bearing part of the speculation.
