Physicist & Neuroscientist. Fascinated by how brain development makes us so smart already at birth, I study the neural implementation of core “start-up” systems (🙂🔢) in newborns/infants & develop EEG methods for👶research.
What do human newborns do with their (very approximate) number sense? They already use it to actively explore the world! Interested? Come see my talk on the “Neural dynamics of cross-modal numerosity integration in human newborns” at SINS2025 in Pisa, Friday 12th at 16.50! #newborns #EEG #numerosity

We expect our students to be honest and refrain from using generative AI to do their reports.

Fake references, fake knowledge, fake reality. All seems valid for those who understand nothing and only seek to capitalise every opportunity. Shame!

The MAHA Report Cites Studies That Don’t Exist
The Trump administration’s “Make America Healthy Again” report misinterprets some studies and cites others that don’t exist, according to the listed authors.

1/ Today, we publish the first of seven articles in a series exploring ‘Science Under Threat in the United States’.

The authors discuss what they describe as the Trump administration's "assault" on science and scientists, and what the response should be. #StandUpForScience
