I suspect Trump has over the years developed a highly effective extortion and blackmail racket that is managing to subdue GOP congresspersons and prevent them from acting against him. This, in turn, suggests how corrupt these legislators are.

I've been saying this since he was reelected. He and his henchmen and -women know they've gone too far and can't afford to lose power or they'll be convicted. There will be efforts to scuttle the midterms. Trump won't quit until he dies or is granted immunity. It's Mussolini and Hitler in America.
