So with Trump threatening Kalaallit Nunaat, ICE detaining unhoused Oglala Lakota men near the site of the Fort Snelling concentration camp by Bdote, and the overall US targeting of Indigenous and Indigenous-descendant people from Abya Yala…are we going to start talking about Indigeneity yet?

4 Lakota men were kidnapped by ICE in Minneapolis. 3 of them were taken to what used to be a concentration camp for Native people, and the only people talking about it are other Indigenous people. I am angry but mostly numb, I am so used to this at this point. We are always forgotten.

This is a list of all the female kākāpō in the world. They are spread across three islands; Whenua Hou, Pukenui, and Te Kakahu.

The fact they are all named and listed on one whiteboard shows how endangered this species is.
It's started! The 2026 #kakapo breeding season is under way, with the first nest found on Whenua Hou today. Pearl is on two eggs. #conservation #parrots #birds
