Please could you help? 👇🏻
Please watch & more importantly share this very cheeky, rather urgent request for £15k (ideally in one lump sum!)

I'm only on Bluesky so if anyone can post on any other social platforms that would be hugely appreciated @churchofengland.org @dioceseofyork.bsky.social @churchtimes.bsky.social Thanks🙏

This whole thread is worth reading 👇🏻
Let’s take a look at the whole “there are too many black people on TV” thing, shall we?

After Pochin claimed Black people in TV adverts “made her mad”, all her supporters tried to use 👇🏼 as their excuse for why she was somehow justified in her overt racism.

Spoiler - she isn’t! 🤨

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.

It sucks all the fun from the nomination of the Archbishop of Canterbury that the nominee knows who they are in advance; the CNC should turn up at their front door and surprise them with cameras so we get the reaction shots

You've GOT to be kidding me!

The Conservatives - who oversaw every single thing on this list - are trying to claim that only the Conservatives would "stop the madness" - that they created...?

So incredulity aside, what about the list itself?

I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.

Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

This was a striking quote in this interesting article:

“Western Anglicanism is, mostly, more comfortable with decline than growth. It tends to accept an ecclesiology of palliative care, in which shrinking Churches are seen as inevitable.”

How much influence does the global Anglican Communion have in choosing the next Archbishop of Canterbury?
Overseas Anglicans are to play a larger part than ever before in the decision, writes David Goodhew. But their representation does not reflect where the growth is

A good reminder to all followers of Jesus Christ (self very much included) that it is tempting sometimes to be performatively religious rather than faithfully Christian:

How could they be so disrespectful of Queen Victoria??
