The US Dept. of Defense is saying it will keep using the Futenma Air Station in Okinawa, despite agreeing to return it to Japan once a new base is built off the coast of Henoko in Nago. It says the Henoko runway is 1,000 meters shorter than Futenma: ryukyushimpo.jp/editorial/en...
