Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) Article 92, an unlawful order is one that is clearly illegal and cannot be obeyed. A service member has a duty to disobey such an order, and they may not use "just following orders" as a legal defense for committing a crime.
If a reasonable person would know the order is illegal, you MUST refuse.
Obedience is not absolute, duty to the Constitution is.
Oath is to defend the Constitution not a person
