a couple years ago I was at a friend's house and I had the aux and it was my job to keep the music flowing and on a whim I picked a Brazilian playlist and that is how I learned about Elza Soares and if you don't know, learn, God almighty this music

This, like the rest of Uwalmassa's releases, rips. Highly recommend.
Uwalmassa continue developing their gamelan techno in such intriguing ways! This is probably their most playful entry yet, though it's still far away from the primary colors. Phenomenal tunes, my only complaint is that it's over too soon!

Serial Experiments Lain is incredible man. whenever i reflect on all the ways the internet has driven us insane, i think about how this series released in 1998 somehow perfectly depicted the alienation and psychosis that mass-communication would enable.

If you need to vanish into a rabbit hole for a little while, may I recommend the Eunice Norton archive on youtube.

She was a great pianist born in Minneapolis in 1908, and apparently the first person to record the complete Goldberg Variations on piano. 💕

One of my favorite things in Country Music is in songs like "She's In Love With The Boy" or "Thunder Rolls" where the meaning of the chorus is completely twisted around after the final verse

The first original short I made with these art bros, which was actually a project for myself to make a quick casual film entirely in Blender, which we all know is a FREE software! This was also my first project to let loose and be an idiot, something I haven't done in forever!

Singing Like Germans by Kira Thurman won six major awards when it came out. It tells the stories of Black musicians in Central Europe and shows how race, culture, and music are intimately connected. A truly groundbreaking book.
