Fearful that the Nazi forces in Prague would confiscate her lifetime's worth of artwork, Gertrud Kauders decided to hide 700 paintings and sketches. Nearly 80 years later, the artworks were rediscovered by a demolition team tearing down an old building.

Archeologen hebben bij opgravingen in het Vlaamse #Oudenburg Romeinse vondsten gedaan. Ze ontdekten onder meer paalkuilen, een #afvalkuil met daarin Romeins aardewerk en glas en een waterput. Het onderzochte terrein ligt net buiten een vroeger #Romeins legerkamp. /1

Researchers identified genetic variants associated with a rare inherited growth disorder in two individuals who were interred together in an embrace more than 12,000 years ago in S-Italy.
