If you're wondering how this will go Square Enix handed off their mobile Octopath game to NetEase who immediately started using ChatGPT to translate everything resulting in text like this. When players complained they started asking fans to fix their translations in exchange for in-game currency

You don't need me to tell you this is yet more good money being burned after bad. But as someone who's worked with that QA team, I'll say they're unsung heroes who truly play a huge role in maintaining SE's reputation for high quality locs and to attempt to replace them with AI is deeply insulting.

COMUNICADO DE LA SECCIÓN SINDICAL DE CSVI-CGT EN MERCURY STEAM
Desde CSVI-CGT queremos informar de las malas prácticas y las condiciones laborales en las que se encuentran les trabajadores de Mercury Steam actualmente. El último título del estudio, Blades of Fire, no ha cumplido con las expectativas de venta del publisher, y en los últimos meses Mercury ha despedido a un total de 24 empleades. Mercury justifica 18 de estos despidos alegando que no hay trabajo suficiente, pero mantiene a varios equipos haciendo hasta 50 horas a la semana. Debido a esto, pedimos desde nuestra sección sindical de CSVI, desde la CGT, y el comité de empresa de CCOO una explicación de estos grandes cambios que han habido en nuestras condiciones, y seguimos sin obtener respuesta escrita. Después de pasar meses haciendo crunch, esto genera mucha confusión y dudas en la plantilla. Desde el último lanzamiento, la directiva del estudio ha procedido en estos últimos meses a adoptar varias medidas que consideramos excesivamente restrictivas. Estas medidas se justifican aludiendo a la situación precaria en la que se encuentran los estudios españoles, y han acabado con la posibilidad de mantener un ambiente de trabajo positivo del que les trabajadores disfrutaban anteriormente. Por un lado, se ha restringido toda comunicación interna no relativa al trabajo, apelando a la profesionalidad, y se ha anunciado que se harán auditorías aleatorias de las comunicaciones entre les empleades. Este control limita cualquier intento de organización de les trabajadores para hacer frente a la situación. Además, se ha arrebatado la posibilidad a les trabajadores de disfrutar libremente de sus días de vacaciones en varios meses del año, mientras que se siguen acumulando más jornadas de descanso como retribución por haber hecho crunch mediante la Distribución Irregular de la Jornada. En algunos casos, incluso se ha procedido también a eliminar la posibilidad del teletrabajo, una de las pocas formas de conciliar la vida personal con la laboral en esos periodos. Es por esto y más que hemos formado una sección sindical con CSVI-CGT: para poder asegurar nuestros derechos laborales y luchar por mejores condiciones. ¡Exigimos que cesen los despidos y que se establezcan unas condiciones de trabajo libres de control y crunch!
