At both Gamescom and TGS I have spoken to several PR folks who've lamented how hard it is to get coverage now, even for bigger games, and I feel like I am losing my mind because between startmenu and Rewinder I have never been so frequently stonewalled on coverage requests.

This is just the second piece I've seen that grapples with how Soulslike and Metroidvania systems actively work against one another to the detriment of the video game (among other things) instead of... you know, getting caught up in the hype and praising Silksong because it's Silksong.
