It is hilarious to me that we've seen two reviews within the last week, both with negative scores, one that was actually thoughtless in its criticism and framing and another that was genuinely thoughtful, well-explained, and plenty of game devs, pundits, etc., seemingly can't tell the difference

If this happens my bet is that the 'cross-buy' price (cause it'll definitely be a different price than the standard) will be the cost of whatever ultimate edition there is but not with the ult dlc upgrades

BTW two things can be true:
- Game review scores skew overly positive and are homogenised by assigning the same people the same franchises/genres over and over.
- Games media still struggles with a nasty case of the edgy critic syndrome that results in dull criticism applied without empathy.

There's value in someone entrenched in a franchise review those games. There's also value in someone completely new getting their first taste in a review. But this opener sounds like the reviewer doesn't even try to understand what could be good about these games, and continues from there.

Hockey has always been my #1 sport, but baseball has always been a close #2.

I think I would enjoy Forza Horizon 5 a lot more if it shut the fuck up and let me drive around and do races. Idk, maybe it’s me, but all of the stops and starts and tutorials just make me want to turn it off. Why can’t I drive from event to event and enjoy the sights along the way?
