If anyone was looking forward to that G.I. Joe Snake Eyes game, sorry to say that it seems to be hanging on by a thread

What a show from Canada today

5-0 win over Finland for the Women's Team

5-0 win over Czechia for the Men's Team

You love to see it 🇨🇦

Another solid outing for Canada today, great win, and hope that Poulin can be back at full strength for tomorrow's game against the US
February 9, 2026 at 10:31 PM
Poulin didn’t add to the lead but we got it done, a decisive 4-0 victory, great first game for Canada’s Women’s team, let’s get the next one 🇨🇦
It would be 10-0 if not for Switzerland’s goalie, who is absolutely standing on her head to keep this game at 1-0, but I trust in Captain Clutch to add to the lead 🇨🇦 #MPPoulin

If the story that’s going around about why Gavin McKenna knocked that guy out his true, then he’ll be the no.1 draft pick with a bullet

If you think McKenna shouldn’t be in the league cause of what he allegedly did, you don’t understand hockey/hockey players

There's a lot going on in the world, but rn I especially feel for all the New York Rangers fans who just sold their bread to gain a tree

As a Leafs fan, I know I'll have my own measure of pain to deal with next month, but atm I can't help but feel for Rangers fans

Went to NYC to check out a bunch of Nintendo Switch 2 games.

Honestly, Mario Tennis Fever was my highlight. Never played any of the others but had such a blast with this, especially thanks to the gloriously chaotic Fever Rackets.

It is incredible to watch the Panthers lose in a game where they got every call and the refs wore blinders on all their uncalled penalties, they can absolutely get fucked

That’s 3/4 correct from this rumour, hoping it goes 4/4 and Alastair Duncan reprises his role for Mimir wccftech.com/amazon-god-o...

Capital 'G' Gamers based on no evidence: "Wah these game journos don't know anything, they don't even play games, they just play them for 10min on easy mode and give it a 7/10"

Also capital 'G' Gamers less than five hours after a game they've never played but didn't like the marketing for is out:

Serious Q: What do ppl think are the chances that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is a good game if/when it releases?

Same as any other game, regardless of dev time? Better than others because it's been gestating for so long? Worse for the same reason?

I lean towards worse, curious to see what ppl think

Shoresy is getting another season and the s5 finale was probably the most beautiful episode of tv I’ve ever watched, life feels pretty good rn

After Hurst was cast as Kratos, I saw a rumour pointing to casting choices for Heimdall, Sif, Thor, and Mimir. Despite them being believable, I didn't put much stock in them as I had never heard of the OG source before. So far, they're right on 2/4, and I'm hoping the other two are right as well
Amazon's God of War TV Series Taps Max Parker for Heimdall, and it has Seemingly Also Cast Its Mimir and Thor

Just once, it would be nice to write about how Ubisoft is doing things that make sense, instead of announcing changes that sound counter-productive to its proclaimed goals

Thank you, Carolina Hurricanes, for filling the net tonight. It feels like every team in the league wants to kill Florida whenever they show up on their schedule, and you know what?

They’re right to and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Breaks my heart to share this, but today is my last day at The Verge and I am looking for work! I'd really like to stay in video games, preferably in some kind of journalistic capacity but I can do PR/Marketing and maybe even a lil Narrative Design. Please get in touch!

This absolutely sucks, Hayes is an exceptional writer and one of the reasons Inverse was one of my go-to sites to read. Anyone would be lucky to have them on their team
Inverse's Gaming section is being shut down as the company "divests" from gaming content. I'm out of a job along with my wonderful co-writers. I've put my heart and soul into this job for four years. Gonna need to take time to process, but I'm now completely open for work - and boy do I need it.

I'm sure Gerighty's departure can be chalked up to him getting a better deal at EA, but it's still not a good look for Ubisoft that it lost two veteran devs who were at the helm of major franchises in the span of a year wccftech.com/ubisoft-tell...

Just found out my wife might be losing her job, so I'm desperately searching for work. Contract, full-time, freelance, whatever. Press, PR, consulting, anything. I have 16 years of editorial experience and have been writing about games for 13. Reviews, news, previews, guides, etc. RTs appreciated.

"No, this is not related to unionization," a Ubisoft rep tells me when asked about the Ubisoft Halifax closure.

No offence, but just mentioning a restructuring plan from two years ago doesn't mean you had Halifax on the chopping block the whole time. It could, ofc, but I'll believe it when I see it

I loved getting to write a little blurb for this, yesterday ended up being too crowded for me to sit down and read it but I’m very much looking forward to doing that today

Thank you @diegoarguello.bsky.social for putting this together every year, it’s one of my fav year-ending things
