This is great and also illustrates how frivolous and completely damaging design review is for housing in our city
The project at 118 W. Mercer Street is back! This is the project on the old Tup Tim Thai site that was brutally murdered by Design Review and left a smoldering ruin in the heart of Uptown.

Explaining #seattle housing politics to a New Yorker is hilarious. nimby position is new buildings only downtown. The far left most yimby position is brownstone height buildings near commercial centers. The notion of brownstone height everywhere or some taller buildings is outside polite discourse.

Having often dealt with the frustration of binder-limited projects, we sought a more accessible source for nanobodies than yeast display or llama. Here we introduce Germinal, computationally designing antibody-like binders with such a hit rate that only tens need to be screened for each target.

Great piece. Often try to explain this to tech people, they train on human data, it is often easily observable. In bio much of data is invisible to us, now we have transcriptomics, spatial bio, etc. Hubble telescope is an example, before that you can’t see so far! We need bio Hubbles
