#Habs Sam Montembeault is sick / cannot play tonight. Kaapo Kahkonen has been recalled from Laval and Jakub Dobeš will start back-to-back games tonight vs. the #stlblues

I was 12 yrs old when the Habs last won the cup and have been a fan ever since. I resonate greatly with this post! So. Much. Fun.
The talent Hutson, Caufield and Suzuki bring to my days is so much fun. To be a reporter who has suffered through Oleg Petrov leading the team in scoring with 46 points, this is just the god damned best.

So much fun to watch these dynamic players.

Demidov joining the three very soon too.

#FunFact: with an assist on Juraj Slafkovský's goal, #Habs Lane Hutson ties Cale Makar and Larry Murphy for the 2nd fewest games to reach 70 career assists by a defenseman in #NHL history [w/ 94 GP]

Canada is ranked 1 in education, 3 in safety, 4 in justice, 4 in overall best country.

We are not a broken country. We have not suffered a lost decade.

Our existence is in the balance.

Vote.

1.75 🍎/g the rest of the way to take first. I say he pulls it off!
Just casually passing Mario Lemieux.

These players are the habs second line for the rest of the year IMO
Brendan Gallagher ices it into an empty net, 6-3 Canadiens, four goals from the Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher line tonight

The convoy crew held the people of Ottawa hostage and tried to divide people with rage politics.
No wonder they are freaked out by Canadian solidarity and goodwill.
They promote bitterness.
We stand for a better nation.
#elbowsup my friends Canada is strong.

Gonna regret driving him out at a critical time.
Here's the expanded answer with that great "Thursday" response, where Trudeau states that it goes beyond Trump.
Reporter:
"Your Foreign Affairs Minister yesterday called all of this a psychodrama. How do you characterize it?"

The PM:
"Thursday."

I legitimately think that a lot of people, especially people living in the United States, are in denial about how overtly fascist this all is.
Trump: “All Federal Funding will STOP for any College, School, or University that allows illegal protests. Agitators will be imprisoned/or permanently sent back to the country from which they came. American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on on the crime, arrested. NO MASKS!...”

I’ve seen some confusion about what Mike Myers meant w/ “Elbows up” closing out SNL. Some saying it means “fight”. Let a hockey obsessive explain the nuance.

Elbows up is a warning to teammates that liberties are being taken with no calls. So if they’re taking a piece, make sure they get it worse

This fucking snowflake right here. Being told to fuck off is about the most polite way you deserve to be treated. Absolute trash
Convoy livestreamer Chris Dacey says he has filed a police report over this incident wherein he drove around the city looking for Charlie Angus, followed Angus outside the Russian Embassy with his camera, then got offended after being told to "fuck off"

👊
This is what the resistance looks like.
The protesters for Ukraine are the best of our nation.
Good Canadians.
Every day, they stand peacefully outside the Russian Embassy fence which is strung with barbed wire.
Russian staff wear MAGA hats.
I stand with Ukraine. I oppose the Putin/Trump gang.

"If everyone loves you, you haven't stood up for anything."

Holy, does this sentence ever hit home. It's definitely time to stand up.

Excellent advice, Brian. ✌️
Here’s my advice…

Life can get uncomfortable. For both sides. For all people.

If everyone loves you, you haven’t stood up for anything.

Be true to yourself. That’s what allows your pillow to feel right at the end of the journey.

If there's one consolation in all this, it's that Pierre Poilievre has lost the microphone. He's isolated out there on the right as Trump's tool in Canada, a weakling fraudulent wannabe who would hand this country over to Trump, lock, stock and maple syrup.

Just in time for an election.

These are rare days, watching Patrik Laine on one of the most scintillating runs I have ever seen in hockey.
Eight power-play goals in nine games played, already tied for second in the league in PP goals, a weapon like no other.
It won't go on forever but it's a blast - and he's a sweet guy.
