I *do* remember this and I've been thinking about it a lot recently.
The Panama papers and Epstein list are probably concentric circles on a Venn Diagram or at the very least have huge overlap. We should get rid of the billionaire class—try, convict, and jail any who are in the #EpsteinFiles and then tax the rest out of existence. #MakeBillionairesAfraidAgain

I've seen a lot of commentary that "everything is gambling now" but i think "everything is exploiting addiction now" is more accurate, whether it's gambling, drugs food, "algorithms," or "gamification" which has always meant "addiction tactics field tested in gaming."
this brain worm is the same one as the addictive behaviours induced by mobile game "stamina" systems that get you to constantly check in to not "waste" resources, together with the same anxiety response for missing check ins. I wonder how many developers are cooking their brains like this.
