I think most game discussions online would be better if people stopped trying to be authoritative and started just being honest with themselves and others
I will say again, Nostalgia is the Devil's Word when it comes to media, especially games. Like that word barely means what it's supposed to mean at this point and it's damaging our ability to communicate about the history of games.

For some reason, reading this made me chuckle that one of Dragon Quest (or Warrior if you will) 1's only dialogue choices is a Yes or No pertaining to the Princess, and if you hit no the game goes "But thou must" until you click yes. Maybe they were predicting it in the 80s, who knows~?

So after finishing DQ1 HD, I....largely hated it. Wasn't sure how DQ2 HD was gonna go
I'm like 3-4 hours into it, and I am LOVING it. It turns out having more than one party member makes the design philosophy this team has work much better!!!! probably not shocking
