I’m tired and don’t know what to put here. I like tv, specifically Schitt’s Creek, OFMD, Ted Lasso, Yellowjackets, and Succession, but I kind of watch everything. Born in 1985.
This is the first holiday without my mom that I have never done without her before. She was always snotty about my sister bringing broccoli rice and cheese even though the rest of us liked it. She created a jello and pudding trifle that is a cornerstone of our family identity. She’ll still be there.

When we’re holiday baking, I like to cut out recipes on cans and boxes and add them to my sister’s recipe card holder. This fudge recipe wasn’t big enough to fill a whole card, so my niece suggested I cut it off two cans and put it on there twice. I’m more amused by this than I should be.

Went to Wake Up Dead Man. I had a good time. This one was very spooky and macabre, but I liked that. Seeing a 9:20 showing was the right vibe for it. See it in the theater if you can. I think some of the general atmosphere is going to be way less unsettling on a small screen.

Solar lights are the new thing at the cemetery. It’s interesting driving by at night. Someone has put ghosts hanging in a little tree in the cemetery where my mom is buried. Last night was the first time I saw them after dark, and I found out they are light up ghosts. I’m very amused by it.

I had a really wonderful time at the concert last night, went to dinner after at a nearby restaurant/bar at 11 p.m., and then drove two+ hours hours home from OKC. Would absolutely do the same thing again, but it was kind of funny for a Monday night.

Restaurants need to stop sending me emails that don’t contain a coupon. Special offer? Yes, I want that email and might even use the offer. Reminder that you exist as a restaurant? No! Fuck off! I have a few that used to send good deals and now are just “Hi! We serve food!”
