When we’re holiday baking, I like to cut out recipes on cans and boxes and add them to my sister’s recipe card holder. This fudge recipe wasn’t big enough to fill a whole card, so my niece suggested I cut it off two cans and put it on there twice. I’m more amused by this than I should be.

Went to a high school production of Mamma Mia tonight. It was pretty good, but the front of the program is going to haunt my dreams. AI Amanda Seyfried can and will hurt you.

She collected crayons and loved to compare how the colors were in different boxes. They’re really everywhere. The first one was in a box of paperwork from the 90s that I am sorting through. This one is in a notebook she was using to catalog her phone calls in 2010.

No matter where you look in my mom’s stuff, you are going to find crayon samples.

The one I miss the most is Jacks. I was raised on this. The burgers were perfect. The fries were crinkle cut by hand and crispy. The pop machine had upside down jars for the syrup. All the pop was a little bit better than anywhere else, but the root beer was the best. They had a 1¢ candy machine.

One time my little sister and I embellished my mom’s nativities. We only added a couple of things to start. No one noticed so we went overboard. Then apparently my sister took a blurry photo of our work with an ‘NSYNC themed disposable camera. This is the most chaotic picture I’ve seen in a while.

Buddy, a little white and tan fluffball of a dog. He’s been gone since the fall of 2004, but he’s still my favorite. He was a little gentleman. I took this picture of a photograph the other day which is the only reason I am including him. What a good boy! A small gray cat asleep on a Care Bear throw blanket. There is all sorts of various crap in the background which we can just ignore. This is my Shadow. She is about to turn 17. Care Bears is making OFMD merch now. I think my dad actually got me that gay-ass one for Christmas, but I will have to look.

While I was in college, I had most of my childhood stuffed animals stored at my sister’s house in a black trash bag. Unfortunately I am 98% sure my brother-in-law threw them out. Anyway, they disappeared. There were only a few I was sad about. After looking many times, I finally found one on eBay.
