We're gonna need a truth and reconciliation commission and Nuremberg style trials to reckon with all of this evil, and any Dem candidate for office who shies away from a full reckoning in the name of "moving forward as a nation" can get well and truly fucked

So they're activating somewhere between 100 and 300 NG troops? I suppose that's enough for a photo opp near the ICE dungeon, but not much else.

This "wartime president" plan is no longer about increasing his odds of being reelected, as it was for many past presidents. I believe this time it's about this admin counting on counter-protests so they have a defensible (with SCOTUS) position to invoke the Insurrection Act. He's not leaving office

Hard to believe that this timeline is real. Struggling with how to explain all this to my child when he's old enough to grasp politics. Biggest thing is to explain that this is not normal or acceptable.
