Greetings from Biarritz, France, where the town brought in a DJ to celebrate the repaving and opening of a downtown street (and closing to cars).

Clearly this community and its businesses are suffering bc driving is not allowed.

I will never not be confused by the number of seemingly rational and normal people who lined up behind killing a 100% affordable housing development for low-income, LGBTQ seniors in favor of some privately run garden on city-owned property.

A Muslim son of immigrants might become mayor of NYC in part because he cross endorsed and supported a Jewish candidate and Black candidate, and vice versa.

It's a beautiful American story for the rest of us. A nightmare for all the right people ;)

It's so New York.

My NIMBY city councillor Chris Marte announced he "saved" the Elizabeth Street Garden this morning, one day before Election Day.

Thanks for saving an antique dealer's storage space that sits on city-owned land from an apt complex for elderly poor people!

Cuomo’s management of the MTA was fraught — and offers a look into how he would lead NYC
The former governor both micromanaged and downplayed responsibility for the sprawling transit system.
