Are any of my qualitative research folks around?
Folks who specialize in Qual analysis (interviews)...what software are you using now? My uni stopped providing NVivo licenses. I would rather put my $ toward something cheaper if there are other good options (that *don't* require i give them my transcripts for them to use as AI training grounds)

The advances we've made in statistics, experimental study design, and causal inference over the past century are remarkably useful for understanding our world. But there is never been a push to make people use them like we are seeing with generative AI. Perhaps take a moment to consider why.

The #NoKings website needs some accessibility work. The results of the location search are only available visually as a map. There's no text alternative for people using screen readers.

Reposting this open postdoc position with more detailed specifications. Couldn't find the right fit in the first round—not due to lack of strong candidates, but because we're looking for someone whose expertise matches a specific project. More details in the job ad. Apply!

Autistic humans don’t burn out from being autistic.

We burn out from pretending we’re not.

From jobs, families, and systems that punish difference and call it “help”.

Recovery isn’t about fixing us.

It’s about changing the conditions.

Even one small one at first is already a huge step.

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

Today, @lizhare.bsky.social gave a spectacular talk at the Big Team Science Conf about the peer review software resources developed by @ropensci.org and how she learned about them during the Champions program.

The slide with the unexpected benefits is my favorite part of the entire presentation!
