For all our liberal sensibilities, race and gender disparities in econ academia have not changed in 15 years. What moral high ground do we have to promote policy elsewhere?

Today marks 17yrs since my brave & beautiful mum died, her final weeks were distressing & she didn’t get to meet George born 4 weeks later or see me enter politics.
As I vote in favour of assisted dying on Friday I will be thinking of her & how we could have given her more dignity & help others

Extraordinary that the main BBC feeds aren't on here. Many of their journalists are. The institution could show a bit of leadership [and how costly would it be for their digital departments? not very] rather than waiting until the last possible moment.
