#OnThisDay 23rd November 2017 my youngest daughter, then aged 10, donated her beautiful long hair to @littleprincesses.bsky.social to make wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other conditions. She also asked for donations to them rather than birthday presents.😊😍🤩

LPT's Scissorman has completed 4 long-distance races in 4 weeks.
Tim Wheeler, our Chair of Trustees, took on the Cardiff half, Manchester half, Yorkshire marathon and Macclesfield half.
As always, he received great encouragement from the public with many saying how they had supported LPT!

We are proud to announce the funding a new Professorship at the University of Birmingham.

Professor Amos Burke is The Little Princess Trust Chair of Paediatric Oncology. The role will see him aim to accelerate childhood cancer treatments.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Colin Addison.
He visited us shortly after speaking at the 50th anniversary event of Hereford United's famous FA Cup win over Newcastle when proceeds were donated to LPT.
Always generous with his time, Colin will be missed by us all.💜

With funding from LPT, Prof Anindita Roy has uncovered how a protein called CD133 helps infant leukaemia cells grow and resist treatment.
The discovery forms the basis of new treatments designed to destroy cancer cells while leaving healthy ones unharmed.

Manchester United fan Frank Ilett has come up with a novel way of supporting us!
He has pledged to not cut his hair until his team wins 5 games in a row.
It has not been almost a year since he made the pledge and, judging by their current form, he might not be cutting his hair for a good while yet!

Alistair McGowan has become the latest person to support LPT in our 20th year.
Hereford's Castle House hotel was the venue for a fantastic afternoon of observations and impressions while Mr McGowan also performed many of the poems from his book, Not What We Were Expecting.

As a paediatric nurse, Abby Criddle has always been passionate about LPT.
“Caring for children affected by cancer and other serious conditions has shown me firsthand how much strength they possess,” she said.
As well as donating her lovely long locks, Abby raised an incredible £1,050 for LPT.

It's been wonderful to meet so many people at @hayfestival.bsky.social who've supported our Hair and Hope mission.
Maven, pictured with his sisters Cataleya and Kadii, cut off 22 inches of his gorgeous locks this month and was delighted to see how his hair will be used in our wigs.
