#OnThisDay 12th February 2019 The first time all three of my little cricketers got into the county teams. Very proud mummy moment followed by many summers run ragged carting them all over the country for matches.

Some of my seedlings have germinated. The cosmos sprouted so quickly -2 days! - I left them covered for a bit too long and they are very leggy. I was probably too early as well. I’ll pot them on deep to give them a chance and sow some more next month.

#OnThisDay -today! Another date when I haven’t got a single photo in my files, other than the electricity meter and the home WiFi wireless key. Here is one I took today: a side table/log holder, hand made by my son for his Auntie. 😍

Today I’ve sown the first seeds of 2026! Hollyhocks, cosmos, phlox, verbena bon, Erigeron, alyssum and gypsophilla. My laundry room is now full of seed trays. Good job I’m the only person who ever goes in there.🤣🌹💐🌺🌷🥀

I’m so pleased we had a nice day at last and I was able to get out in my garden today. I’m redoing my beds and can’t afford to buy plants so I’m growing from seed. I potted on some perennial seedlings in the greenhouse:
Pink/purple Hellebore from below with a blue sky above it. Primroses and snowdrops blooming in the garden. Blue and red primulas with pale edges to the petals. Newly potted baby plants in a greenhouse. The pots are in trays and buckets. Hardy geraniums, lupins, delphiniums, peonies, oriental poppies, aquilegia, sedum spectabile, sweet peas.
