Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

Here's the secret: it doesn't matter if it's a bot or not. If a comment feels out of bounds to you, then it is. Block the sender and don't give it another thought.
I don't know what is a bot comment and what isn't. How do you tell?

It always amazes me how much "traditional" cuisines worldwide are built on new world ingredients and layers and layers of borrowed practices. How can anyone gatekeep recipes when humanity has forever been a worldwide culture of sharing and kinship?

I think one of the worst quirks of online spaces is the idea that if someone doesn't post about something, they don't care about it. It encourages performative posting often makes things worse.
