Transfixed, could only watch as a raven flew over and distracted the owl before it gave me one more glare and flew off to go back to hunting. I watched from a distance with my long lens being sure not to disturb. A truly humbling experience even with all my years experience with owls. #birds 2/2

I had an incredible moment today. I found great gray owl hunting along the road. I'm always very careful to keep my distance and make sure the owl is not distracted by me. I was doing well until I stepped out of the car when it was deeper the woods. It suddenly landed right over my head. 1/2 #birds

I finally got a photo of the tiny Sacred Kingfisher that's been flitting around our garden for the past month or so.

Today it's these cool #bird (hummingbird and nuthatch) and #flower traditional #drawings by Sarah Krebs, from Alberta, Canada. I couldn't find a personal website but she's on Etsy.

Calling my wildlife photographer friends! I need advice.
My camera and my 200-500 mm lens have been destroyed (I’m still processing it) So, it’s time to upgrade. I was shooting a Nikon D610, looking to go mirrorless. What would you suggest in a similar range for when I make the insurance claim?
