Medicare fraud - no arrests

Social security fraud - no arrests

Election fraud - no arrests

If MAGA didn’t have the collective IQ of a moldy peanut butter sandwich, they’d realize they were being scammed by now.

Sadly, this is the ICE M.O.: Assault innocent people and then tell elaborate lies to blame the victim. No judge should give any credence to anything a DHS lawyer says to them. They have proven themselves to be liars too often.

You cannot do "commonsense reform" for a secret police force that's declared itself exempt from constitutional requirements. You cannot reform ultraviolent agencies that have been corrupt for decades and now have accountability only to the president's goons and lackeys.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

This is something that I’ve been trying to articulate for a long time. This is perfectly said…
I’m not the first to observe this, but: Mike Johnson functions as a staffer to Donald Trump, not as a speaker of the House. He has made this august, important role teeny-tiny. He is smaller than Stephen Miller and the like. It would be pitiable if it weren’t so consequential.

After decades of complaining about “federal overreach” and the “heavy hand of the state”, Republicans have gone all in on the largest and most lawless, destructive, intrusive and coercive federal agency in U.S. history.

Part of this is frank indifference to the victims, part is that the people remaining in DoJ are dregs.
“A review of 47 victims’ full names on Sunday found that 43 of them were left unredacted in files that were made public by the government on Friday, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis. Several women’s full names appeared more than 100 times in the files. “

Yep 👇🏻
I've been a critic of NYT for two decades--sometimes as a job--but I don't have monolithic view. There are great reporters working there. Headline writers, not so much. This is actively misleading. By framing it as a question it takes a side, asserting that he wants to w/out plausible evidence.

ICE and CBP agents seem to enjoy gratuitously breaking glass—from car windows to store fronts to homes. It’s an expression of unchecked power and dominance: “We’re in charge. We break and shatter what we want.”

And nights of broken glass have been a harbinger of worse to come.

NEW: The Trump admin. has denied Alaska's request for full reimbursement for disaster relief efforts for the first 3 months following the devastating Western Alaska storms, though Gov. Dunleavy claimed it was promised last fall.

The state has filed an appeal.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.
