the ai sloppification of the world will only end if organizations stand up for artists like this. this is another great reason to unionize your workplace as you can include NO AI ART in your work contract
Hi! Quick note: The Onion accidentally posted a stock photo from a vendor with an AI generated image in it. We pulled the post down once we found that out. Our commitment to not using AI is very real. It's in the union contract to disclose it if we ever do. World is a slop minefield and we're sorry.

Perfect illustration of why effective regulatory bodies are needed...

This is the HQ of Avis Capital. It claims to be one of the largest companies in the UK, with £58bn in assets and 31% returns promised to investors.

Except it's all a lie.

Here's how regulatory failures are letting international fraudsters create massive fake UK companies.

I think you have to be huffing the purest copium known to mankind to think that a $100 price point will help the industry "rebound" lmao

Ball said "there is hope" that Take-Two will price GTA 6 at "$80 or even $100," which could prove to be a turning point for the video game industry. This could break a "key price barrier" and allow other developers to raise prices as well, he said."

If Take-Two raises prices to $80 or more, other publishers could apparently follow suit.

It’s a memo from Wes to do it or no nice things. We all know this, they should have the stones to show it. They’ll brave it out because they know they’re standing on a marginalised group and it won’t affect anyone’s vote share anywhere on the island.

Thank you to Greater Manchester Police for helping keep vulnerable road users safe from this.

There's a reason Tesla Cybertrucks are not legal in the UK and Europe; Cybertrucks present acute dangers to pedestrians and don’t meet European safety standards.

The vehicle has been seized.

New line from some media outlets seems to be “would you pay more for a better NHS?”

How clever. Instead of proposing higher taxes for the extremely wealthy, they ask the struggling public if they can afford to contribute even more 🚨

Adams is only one of the people impacted by s46/47 Legacy Act. The commentary focusing on him detracts from the fact that internment impacted on the liberty of thousands of people, often with little justification, and one of the few safeguards (SoS approval) was often neglected.
Gerry Adams is a polarising character. But beyond Adam's specifically, and even the politics surrounding compensation for a miscarriage of justice, there is a broader point about how governments are seen to function in law and how that applied to Adams. 🧵 www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

The only thing I'll say about the ceasefire news is against all obvious reality I hope Israel actually stick to it and all those responsible for this genocide are held accountable. An impossible hope but a hope nonetheless.
