"Oh our Minneapolis, I hear your voice
Singing through the bloody mist
Here in our home they killed and roamed
In the winter of ’26
We’ll take our stand for this land
And the stranger in our midst
We’ll remember the names of those who died
On the streets of Minneapolis."
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Maybe this is where they're sending Bovino.
Does this mean Texas gets invaded now? Or is that only after intrepid reporter Nick Shirley gets a scoop?

Don't let them change the narrative and blame only Bovino.

TRUMP GREENLIT THE ASSASSINATION OF INNOCENT AMERICAN CITIZENS.

That's it. That's the headline.

A Cuban detainee’s death at an El Paso federal immigration detention center was ruled a homicide Wednesday, with the medical examiner finding he was suffocated while restrained, contradicting immigration officials’ claim that he died by suicide.

Hoo boy. Trump's speech at Davos was delayed by technical difficulties. I bet he's madder than a wet hen.

This is really flying under the radar in the US right now. The average American does not have even a glimmering of an idea of consequences beyond the obvious and direct ones of a shooting war.

It's a slow day at work, so I decided to educate myself on this "trade bazooka". Here's what I found.

1/
Poland's Gazeta Wyborcza:
- Europe holds very strong cards in its hand. It is possible that Trump simply doesn't understand this.
- Europe is looking for tools to deter Trump. In Davos, they are discussing the sale of debt and a trade bazooka.
- A New Europe is already emerging.

Fucking WOW.
ICE has kidnapped so many people from their cars that the city had to put out this statement. Let that sink in.
Vehicles that are abandoned due to an ICE detention and towed to the City's impound lot will be released to their owners or a representative at no cost.

If we have to do it by referendum, we'll do it by referendum.
The Virginia legislature today passed four constitutional amendments, all by day 3 of 2026 session:

—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.

These will all go to 2026 referendums.

They're not sending the best people.

ICE agents are rejects. They're weaklings. They're feeble. They're worthless little losers. Nothing, not the most petty crime, is beneath them.

ICE = SCUM
Arnoldo Bazan, a 16-year-old U.S. citizen, was put in a chokehold by ICE agents.

Agents took his phone, which he tracked to a used electronics vending machine near an ICE detention center.

Yes: ICE is stealing and selling people’s things after brutalizing them. There are no words.

Boston City Hall is preparing for ICE surge, and the people of Boston and MA are preparing as well.

The objective is also the method: they're trying to get people to stay quietly in their homes and hope that someone else's door gets kicked down.

The history of civilian mass detention on the basis of identity without due process or recourse (which is how I defined concentration camps in my history of them) shows that it invariably leads to permanent harm—and typically significant loss of life as well. The longer it goes on the worse it gets.
As detention expands, conditions get worse, thanks to overcrowding and the chaotic transfers of people all over the country.

ICE detention has always had problems, but they're worse than ever now and the impact is clear. Deaths hit a record level in 2025, and 2026 is already looking to be worse.
The detention system has grown so rapidly that already harmful conditions have worsened.

Thousands of immigrants arrested in the interior are detained in hastily built tent camps, where conditions are brutal.

More people died in ICE detention in 2025 than in the past four years combined.

Two suggestions:

1. Help the people of Minnesota
2. Look around you and see what YOUR community would need if ICE came tomorrow.

The time to build mutual aid is before it's needed.
