Suggest that in the event of events that could critically impact the funding of the BBC, the govt should commit to making up any financial shortfall via taxing foreign owned golf courses in Aberdeen.

Watching the MGM+ version of Robin Hood. It's very odd. Production values are solid (if a bit east European generic) and it's creditable they've tried for a real reinvention...

If the FT story is correct and they're walking back from Income Tax rises then I genuinely give up.
Every government of my adult life has been a cowardly shuffle of dishonesty on taxes, spending, and immigration, hurtling towards ever worse outcomes and praying something turns up.

Tax the rich, regulate the media, fund public services.
It really is that simple.
Five years of that, you'll be halfway to fixing the mess you inherited. Ten, you'll be the envy of the world.

this should be so embarrassing for AI boosters - a claim that ChatGPT had “found” solutions to longstanding maths problems: turned out not that it had SOLVED them but had found solutions by googling for them

(Just a bit too much plot armour and an often uncertain tone)
