Given new purpose and knowledge to rebuild her life as a healer. No longer the awkward wannabe punk scared that the Silks were about to abandon her. Vola heard what people called her when they thought Nat wasn’t listening. The Angel of the Silks. Still rail-thin though. Thinner than last month. With as much as she ate, that shouldn’t be the case. Her lavender skin was ashened and not as vibrant as it used to be. It was as if something was draining her vitality. Burning her out in a whole new way. Another question for later. Vola chided herself.
