I've been on call and called in on holidays for snow removal, which seems much less critical, but ok I guess.

"I was just following orders" was the justification for the murders of my great-grandmother's siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, and the fact that we didn't execute every nazi and every sympathizer at the end of WWII is what lead us to this.

So much of American history is just impulsive and extremely stupid elites, who don't believe in consequences because they have never personally experienced them, doing highly consequential stuff because they're bored or believe it might make them richer. I guess a lot of our culture, too.

Piggybacking on this, it makes no sense not to do everything you can, now, to remove these people. They aren't going to stop. They're coming for all of us if we don't fight back. Do it for self-preservation if nothing else.

This war and extra-judicial kidnapping is patently illegal and unconstitutional. Political leaders on both sides must condemn it. It’s not about whether Maduro is a tyrant but whether the US is still governed by laws and the Constitution. As if this morning, we are clearly not.
