The perfect metaphor for Trump’s presidency is dead canaries. How many little dead birds do you need to see before you realise the air is toxic?
Remind you of Trump? Our baby scored 8/10 on the Apgar test at birth then at the 5 minute mark he scored 10/10. That day my husband called all our family & friends, telling them that our baby had already improved to get 100% on a test,
after only 5 mins, and was therefore clearly a genius.

Re Extradition. The man is alleged to have used Pepper spray. It is illegal to carry or use Pepper Spray in the UK because it is considered a prohibited firearm under the Firearms Act 1968. Possession of the spray can lead to significant prison sentences. The woman was physically assaulted too.
No! This is unbelievable. #Trump Maga over here racially abusing and assaulting families. Just like mine, just travelling on the tube. Please help TFL find them and if they’ve fled let’s push to get them extradited. F*** Trump, Musk, Putin, Farage. Destroying our values, pushing hate and division.

Agreed . They should use some of the less well known publications that @privateeyenews.bsky.social features on its show.
If we're talking about bias, why do BBC politics programmes, from Politics Live to the Laura Kuennsberg Show, still always begin with a look at the newspaper front pages, which are overwhelmingly biased in one direction. Helps frame the entire news agenda and debate in their favour

The Vice President (with responsibility for ethnic minorities) is a vital role for the #LibDems. Victoria has what it takes to engage minority communities and support them. She’s endorsed by @cesea-libdems.bsky.social and LDCRE

I’ve just watched Eugene Levy’s show where he gets given a tour of Windsor Castle by Prince William. Surreal TV.
As a result I now think less of both of them and the monarchy in general.

Can’t tell you how often this happens in #LibDem meetings. Recently, I suggested a QR code. It couldn’t be executed for that medium. My suggestion put down - roundly by all the men. Later “A MAN” suggests having the QR code on xxxx instead.
It gets done. Everyone thanks him for his brilliant idea.

Sorry, but not going to watch Crowe in a Holocaust film.

Another instance of Labour putting party before Nation. Just like with Brexit. Labour knows proportional representation is best for all of us. But they’re not going to back it. #LibDems leading the way again @ldeuropeangroup.bsky.social @youngliberalsuk.bsky.social
The Lib Dems have told supporters "we are the only party with the conviction to stand up and fight for what we believe in" by still backing proportional representation, "not because it benefits us, but because we think it’s right"
"We must not, and will not, give up the fight for electoral reform."

Of course it is the Libdems. We are gaining seats from Reform in recent by-elections even where they were the incumbents
Which party best placed to beat Reform?
YouGov put this to the test in a poll, and found it's the Liberal Democrats.
LD win v. Reform 36% to 32%
CONS win v. Reform 28% to 27%
Lab lose v Reform 31% to 34%

It’s easy to see why Trump wants to destroy the world’s number one news source. We can’t let him.
The BBC belongs to all of us here in the UK.
The Prime Minister and leaders from across the political spectrum should be united in telling Trump to keep his hands off it.

Intersex people are a distinct and uniquely vulnerable minority who face specific issues in life.
Lib Dem policy, as passed this Spring Conference, calls for a ban on medically unnecessary, non-consensual treatments or surgeries for intersex infants and children.

This is why I joined @libdems.org.uk. It isn’t just policy geekery. This is vital and so many problems in our democracy come back to the fact that the voting system fails us and stifles genuinely bold political ideas. It needs changing and there is only one party you can trust to change it.
Nigel Farage used to believe in reforming the voting system, now he's rowed back because it no longer benefits him.
We will keep fighting for a fair votes, not because it benefits us but because it's right for the country.
