Gonna level with you bro I think DHS needs to be dissolved after this. Regardless of what national security functions fall under its remit, it's clearly institutionally constructed in such a way allows it to be used as an unaccountable tool of executive power. Can't reform your way out of that.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

I need people to understand that when a student goes to a private school with a voucher, and then returns to the public school (they always seem to come back), the money doesn’t get returned. We just do more with less. #publiceducation #schoolvouchers

Trying to figure out how I can add to this new space … as a school psychologist, I think I’ll voice my opinions regarding education policy in this country. Education has been overlooked and underfunded for too long, and it appears it will only get worse.
