I’ll be honest. I have a sick feeling in my stomach about this. About ICE’s new budget. About the citizenship database. I just have a really sick feeling. The only way we survive this is together. We need to work together. In ways we never have before. Collective action is the way.
Trump calls for deporting US citizens: "We also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time ... many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here too, if you want to know the truth. So maybe that'll be the next job."

#BREAKING: Over a (sharp) public dissent from the three Democratic appointees, #SCOTUS clears the way for the Trump administration to remove migrants to third countries *without* giving them an additional opportunity to contest whether they face persecution or other forms of mistreatment there:

I'm Eileen Laubacher. A retired Rear Admiral and the Democrat running against Lauren Boebert. I know what sacrifice means and service looks like. Boebert doesn’t have a clue.

Can you help me get to 5k followers to show her we can do this?!

When there is a conflict between conservative legal principles and Trump’s demands, conservative judges almost always adhere to their principles. Members of Congress do not.

the single best thing democrats could do to win back trust with voters — and a good number of those voters who have a low opinion of the democratic party are democrats themselves! — is adopt an aggressively partisan orientation toward republicans and loudly perform their opposition

And saying this in front of the troops makes this particularly un-American.

Nothing to be scared of here in political terms. One of the least popular presidents is now even less popular than he was in his first term. People need to come out from under rocks.

Bone chilling.

A court ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia to stay in the United States.

The Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that he was illegally removed. Trump is pretending he won the ruling 9-0.

1/ You may not think this case means anything to you. But let me tell you why it does.

9/ The tariffs are DESIGNED to create economic hardship. Why? So that Trump has a straight face rationale for releasing them, business by business or industry by industry.

As he adjusts or grants relief, it’s a win-win: the economy improves and dissent disappears.

Trump IS the security risk. We can only hope that our former allies can hack their way in to find out what we're doing.
True story: there were worries that Biden had a Peloton and how that might affect cybersecurity
“It introduces another attack point,” said a cybersecurity expert. “Why introduce that risk?”

FWIW, about 24 hours ago I was told by someone who is plugged in and sharp that the most likely Yeses were Schumer, Hassan, Peters, Durbin, Schatz, King, Shaheen, Fetterman, Cortez Masto and Gillibrand.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN.

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!

CALLS ARE WORKING - it has bought us precious time, but we NEED to keep the pressure up.

Tomorrow is the cloture vote.

KEEP CALLING: (202) 224-3121 ☎️☎️☎️

Tell your Dem Senator to vote NO on Cloture and NO on the Republican spending bill.

Do NOT assume your Senator will be good on this. Trust me.
🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

Peaceful protests at the Tesla dealership on Broadway near Belleview in Denver ever Tuesday. #TeslaTakedown Tuesdays. We need to keep steady pressure. I know a Texan living in Colorado who plans to attend in his Wrangler jeans and Cowboy boots ready to kindly engage the good ole boys who get mad

Went to a protest today outside the Tesla dealership on a busy road in Denver / Littleton. Maybe 100 people there. CBS news showed up. 98% of the people were gracious and respectful. A couple people were obnoxious or loud. The cars driving by honking their support kept us fired up and going.

Is anyone going to the Tesla dealership protest in Denver / Littleton on Saturday?

So has the entire Republican party become pro-Putin now? It's one thing to be quiet when Trump is praising Putin, but Tuberville has now normalized a US - Russian alliance directly from his own mouth. Is anyone currently in office for the Republicans showing any resistance to this?

Zelensky is a wartime leader watching his people suffer and die under Russian attacks every day. To be lectured and lied to by Trump and Vance, as they defend the war criminal dictator committing these atrocities, is unimaginable agony. An everlasting shame for America.
Trump has not uttered a critical word about Putin but he and his VP publicly belittled the leader of the nation Putin invaded.

None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

It is horrible that our president helped and extradited Andrew Tate. It is horrible that Elon Musk restored his platform of self-described misogyny on twitter two years ago. Why is our country so supportive of violence against women?
