Only realised I’d forgotten to put the bin out today when the bin truck sailed past me and around the corner. 5 minutes later I heard my bin being emptied into the truck. They came back! As he gave it back to me, the lovely bin-man said “I could literally hear you saying “oh shit!” Heroes 🥰

Does moving house always feel like a gamble? If so, I think this one just might pay off. 6 months ago I decided to move to Waterford and this evening I sit in my new house, feeling very pleased with myself. 🥰

Just my 2 cents. But my goal is to ignore the trolls. Give them zero attention. Block them if they annoy me.
I think the worst thing we can do on this site is re-create the ad hominem/ personal attacks that occur across comments on Twitter/insta/tiktok/ etc

The fact that UCC hid a 3000-year-old mummy under the floorboards of a lecture theatre on a campus where two and a half tonnes of uranium rods were being stored in a basement nearby and DIDN'T end up with a zombie-pharaoh apocalypse is both a mystery and endlessly disappointing

Important perspective:
This is a great figure. For all the doom & gloom about climate inaction, we have made a big dent over the past 25 years.
What started out as 3.5-4°C increase by 2100 is now down to 2-3°C. Of course, more work is urgently needed but this is progress! We don't let up now. h/t @hausfath.bsky.social
