FINAL DESTINATION BLOODLINES might be the best entry in the entire franchise, and was a delight in IMAX. But for the love of Pete, don't make us wait over a decade for a seventh movie if it's anywhere near as good as BLOODLINES.

CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD is so fucking fun. One of the best slashers we've gotten in theaters in a while. Consistently funny with some super-solid death scenes.

Not gonna say I didn't have fun with THE MONKEY, I just wish I had as MUCH fun as some people I've seen. A few scattered moments made me laugh harder than anything else I've seen at a theater in ages, I just wish it'd felt a tiny bit less glib. Felt like hearing a very dark joke repeated too often.

In my self-defense classes I focus on how most people are socially conditioned to follow the norms of a civilized, polite society — and there is a MENTAL SHIFT required to use violence to defend from violence.
