Exhibit No.(I'velostcount) on how "progressives" and leftists believe their votes must be "earned", thereby demonstrating that they don't understand what it means to live in a democratic society, where we owe it to each other to vote for the general welfare.
"I think we should beat the fascists"

"So we'll be voting for Dems?"

"I guess, though if I know those stupid feckless worthless Dems they'll just hand control back in 4 years to more fascists"

"Hm. Guess I won't vote then."

"Exactly. My job here is done. Those fascists sure will be sorry now!"

Did more for Americans in 4 years than many did in 8.
I will stand by that statement. History will reveal that I am correct.

Arriving at work in a jolly mood today.

Misplaced my license and wallet, so can't buy food or drinks.

And my coworkers are as irritating as ever.

The constant need to be entertained and the inability to sit still and be informed is a major problem with far too many Americans. There are always people who find vital information "boring".

This shit-tier logic perpetually flows in one of two directions, both equally odious:

1) if the Dems don't jump/skip/spin around/catch the frisbee, voters will have NO CHOICE but to elect Adolf Hitler and will be right to do so

2) Dems should rip up the constitution/purge enemies/suspend elections

Some ppl have seemingly forgot that political news media spun up a "Biden secretly has parkinsons" story out of a doctor visiting the WH while the admin was working on Parkinsons policy or that Nuzzis big "Biden didnt remember me" piece was written when she was secretly working for RFK Jrs campaign
The actual "worse than watergate" scandal is how much news media collectively worked to ratfuck a Democratic presidency by largely inventing health/mental acuity concerns for hyperventilate about while largely ignoring the very real & worsening issues in front of their faces from Trump
Both taken this weekend:

When Donald Trump attacks and kills innocent people in Venezuela, I hope the Pro-Pal people have the same smoke for him that they did for Harris and Biden who weren't actually responsible for the fight between Hamas and Israel. I expect college encampments, protesting Trump speeches, everything.

All joking aside, the fundamental flaw with some people's view of politics is that no bad result is ever the fault of the bad actor who did it. It's always the fault of every other actor who "failed to stop them". The obvious drawbacks to this way of thinking are somehow obscured to its adherents.

I can't begin to express how disgusted I am by the fact that the online left discourse is dominated by those who insist that exercising your duty as a citizen of a democratic nation - to vote in every election for the common good - should be CONDITIONAL upon certain criteria being met.

Honestly the bad thing about the Biden years is that we will never get another Cares or ARP package again because the median voter hates 8% inflation more than 8% unemployment and the cool kids will just shit on it for not being enough

...that means for every $250K check a corporate PAC writes out to a Republican, their Democratic opponent has to try & match it with, say, 10,000 people chipping in $25 apiece.

MOST CANDIDATES FUCKING *HATE* BEGGING FOR MONEY.

It's a grueling & humiliating process, honestly. 4/

...if you're going to ask Democratic candidates not to accept corporate PAC money, guess what?

That means they have to raise money elsewhere.

Namely, *individuals.*

And since their GOP opponent will be getting fat checks for hundreds of thousands from those same corporate PACs... 3/

My brain, 24/7/365:

Sounds of ping-pong balls bouncing off walls mixed with radio static mixed with elevator music mixed with my inner voice telling me on repeat that I'm useless/it's pointless mixed with the sounds of dripping water from my actual leaking shower head.

Sound exhausting? It is.

(Rhetorical question.)
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter
In a new standup special, and a début novel, the comedian navigates murky, post-#MeToo terrain: not quite exiled, not quite welcomed back.

The thing about far-left actors like Corbyn, Sultana, and Mélenchon is that they are usually fuelled purely by egocentrism and believe that only they can / deserve to lead whatever revolution they fervently and aggressively believe in.
I don't know why they are bothering. The Green Party took the spot they wanted 3 months ago. But they wouldn't be major players in that party so then you wonder if its about personal beliefs or personal power.

I'm more likely to be autistic than not.

The only traits I lack that are common enough to be diagnostic are a dislike of changes in routine and difficulty in interpreting facial expressions (I'm perhaps TOO sensitive to those). I meet the other criteria.

I wonder if it's worth pursuing a Dx.

The thing about adopting or sustaining a shitty broken episteme is that it will pull you towards making bad choices for what you think are good reasons.

"We both agree there are shadowy enemies who must be purged from society for the common people to prosper!" is how you get Sanders>Trump voters.

Once you accept the framing that there are Good Groups and Bad Groups and the latter must be purged from society and the former must have special privileges without oversight, it matters very little what you *call* these groups; the gates of a bottomless atrocity machine have been thrown wide open.

Y'all thought voting against Harris was revenge, didn't you?

Remember this:

Revenge is a boomerang - it will turn around and fly right back at you, and you'd better know how to dodge it.

And it will hit people you care about, and people you don't even know, on its flight path.
