Arrington argues that the works of art that many women created under the Federal Arts Project made visible Black, immigrant, and women’s lives in a way that challenged segregationist, xenophobic, and sexist structures intrinsic in the nation’s institutions.

I couldn’t make the launch but enjoyed writing an essay for the catalogue for this exhibit at Dublin Castle, supported by the Polish Embassy. Congrats to Katy and Emily on a great night and wonderful show!
The only photograph I took last night, as we launched ‘Casimir Markievicz: A Polish Artist in Bohemian Dublin, 1903-1913’ in Dublin Castle! A wonderful night of art, music and friendship - I think Casimir would have approved!

It's possible we are headed off that cliff! We are not immune to the forces that cause societies to collapse. But IMO it's irresponsible to treat that collapse as inevitable, much less preferable, while there is still time left to turn the car around.
