Time for the 25th Amendment to remove this incompetent, destructive person from the Oval Office.
Some perspective: The S&P opened down -1.3% on Trump's Greenland saber-rattling. That's $750 billion of wealth destroyed -- roughly equal to estimates of the value of Greenland.

And so ~in dollar terms~ his shenanigans have already cost the US one Greenland, and we've got nothing to show for it.

Let’s fill those lines with calls, especially to republican lawmakers. Enough with this descent into fascism.
We must continue the work to abolish ICE.

But right now, Congress can stop ICE’s violent reign of terror. Tell them to do it today: (202) 224-3121

I've said this before and I'll say it again.
It would only take a tiny handful of Republican Congress members or senators to stop the slide of America toward authoritarian fascism, but nope. They're all in.

We need freedom from the toxic trespass of industrial discharges.
🚨 A new chemical industry-backed House bill would roll back key federal protections from toxic chemicals and weaken safeguards that protect our families. This bill is a chemical industry wish list disguised as “reform,” and it threatens our health, our environment, and our communities.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee introduced a bill that would weaken the nation’s chemical safety law—the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

You may have heard about Professor Michael Pollan’s food rules. Though his rules are focused on health, following them can also get you most of the way on reducing the presence of toxic chemicals in your food.

This decision is devastating. Collins and other anti-science, climate deniers can’t be voted out soon enough.
Senator Susan Collins killed the amendment to protect the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) -- perhaps the world's premier research center for work on #weather, #climate, models, and remote sensing. Remember that.

It’s absurd to me that workers in this industry aren’t protected from a well know exposure and disease. Until they are, don’t buy quartz or engineered stone countertops.

Kitchen countertop workers are dying. Some lawmakers want to ban their lawsuits
Some safety experts want California to stop the cutting of quartz countertops saying it can't be done safely. Lawmakers, meanwhile, contemplate a ban on workers' lawsuits against quartz manufacturers.

The big problem with the new food pyramid is that it encourages Americans to eat more beef and dairy—two of the most environmentally destructive foods when produced at scale.

You can’t build a healthy society on top of an unhealthy biosphere.

Seems like something RFK Jr. should know.

We must push back against forces that divert and dispute sustainability science that underlies decisions to protect our health and well-being, and to some extent our survival.
Thoughtful piece by my @science.nature.org colleague Rob et al. discussing the implications of global autocratization for science.

We face a clear choice, they say: keep our heads down and hope to weather rough political waters...or choose to actively support academic freedom + sustainability.
