The cameras may have left Minneapolis, but our communities still need help. 5/

There’s a long road to recovery and this is only the beginning. ICE is still in Minneapolis and the impact of this will be felt for years to come. I am asking you to pay attention to council meetings and your elected officials at all levels. 4/

Since December 2025, “Operation Metro Surge” has had a devastating impact on Minneapolis. It’s disrupted our local economy, broken families apart, and worsened already existing disparities our neighbors face.

An additional 76,200 people citywide may now be experiencing food insecurity. 1/

Last year a vermilion flycatcher setup a nest about 9 feet in the air, allowing me put my camera on a tripod a safe distance away and use a trigger. 🪶 🐣

For 40 hours during a work week.

I waited.

Taking tens of thousands of videos/pictures

Today's feel-good story: a tegu rescued from the snow by a kind person in Providence, RI, has been saved by ET Reptiles & New England Wildlife Center. Usually, pet reptiles die in these circumstances, but frostbite treatment worked. @rickclaypool.bsky.social even visited the tegu + took this photo.

I was in an argument about how "Democrats have failed to give us anything to vote for" when talking about Harris. And I'm sorry but Harris warned us Trump will destroy the economy and send troops into our city, if that's not enough to vote against Trump, they're fucking stupid

Vote in the primaries (and get everyone you know to do it too) if you want a different nominee. And if your choice does not win at least you tried and then you can vote for the nominee anyway!

The Democrats in North Carolina running for the general assembly, county commissions, and district courts aren't going to "delight" me. I barely know them. But (D) next to their name is enough 1/
