September 2025, a covertly recorded video was released showing Joseph Schnitt, then-Acting Deputy Chief of the DOJ Office of Enforcement Operations, claiming that the department would "redact every Republican or conservative person" from the Jeffrey Epstein files while leaving Democratic names.
Looking through the Epstein files on the DOJ website, it is extremely clear that when DOJ admitted that it redacted information related to political figures and government officials that they meant MAGA Republicans. Names of Democrats and even anti-Trump Republicans are left in.
