Wtf are they playing at? Has Starmer had enough and wants out buy has decided to create an elaborate plan to oust him rather than resign. It's getting very silly
Downing Street's hot take: Labour MPs are crashing the markets! Because nothing unites a party like the PM finger-pointing at his own backbench. Pass the blame game.

Amusing to see 2 potato-faced individuals on Novara recently agreeing that Starmer has never been attractive.
I follow a lot of very intelligent political journalists and commentators but unfortunately none of them have cottoned on to what I think is now blindingly obvious - namely that a young (and hot) Keir Starmer was recruited by the Tories in the 90s to destroy the Labour Party.

I don't think from an unnamed means made up but I would like political journalists to consider merit of both source and info rather than just publish everything briefed from unnamed sources. Surely evaluating the quality of info and the weight that should be given to it is part of their role rather
Replies to this are a good case for why the lobby system absolutely doesn’t work in the 21st century.

It is the standard practice of government to brief stories from unnamed sources. *Official briefings* come from unnamed sources. But a sizeable subset of the public thinks unnamed means made up.
There is a small subset of pro-Starmer ultras on here who either genuinely don’t understand that budget stories *are directly briefed out by the Treasury, with permission* or pretend not to know that. And so they claim the plans never existed, haven’t changed, etc. It is maddening, and dumb as fuck.

Not sure why Polanski being a charlatan and using women's insecurity for his previous bs "work" is funny cos lol boobs. But then I am a humourless feminist and amazed at how unconcerned people are by it cos he's a good media performer and saying stuff people agree with.
His version doesn't add up

Having read the article, it's flat wrong. They're mapping to CEFR levels, but A-level English is equivalent to C2 not B2. What I think they *mean* is a level of English *as a foreign language* equivalent to foreign language A-level like French or Spanish support.cambridgeenglish.org/hc/en-gb/art...

Why is everyone being silly and pretending there's a requirement for people to pass an A level to live in UK? It's a change from current requirement of B1 competency in English to B2. It's also not a new announcement share.google/yUBRIvTMIxSb...

There is a species of meaning-free reply to a Jew talking about antisemitism that is less about its content - some species of minimisation or whataboutery - than it is an internal reaction in the replier, who is uncomfortable to see a Jew talking and must remind them of their place.

Good to hear Starmer challenging that little prick Chris Mason.

CM - "But that could be lost in the nuance"

KS - "Well let's not lose it in the nuance".

It's people like Mason who deliberately confuse things because modern media thrives on chaos.
