Anyone working in stained glass knows that you end up with a bunch of scrap glass, so I've been doing a few mosaic projects.

Most "classics" are boring as fuck to a modern reader in no small part because the context of the story is not understood by them and so many of the allusions and "inside jokes" known to then-contemporary readers have been lost in time and in translation
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

Go get stabbed, people.
If you're wondering whether or not to get a flu shot, I didn't get one in time, and I just had a fever dream where I was in the Drew Carey Show because several days ago I was on the Wikipedia page for the Drew Carey Show. You don't have to do this to yourself.

I see the wider news outlets are breaking a story medical providers have been talking about since August 2001 so let’s talk about The Gap (not the store for beige moms, the organ one).

Below is a graph generated from OPTN (Organ Procurement & Transplant Network) showing The Gap.

I should write GI JOE.

I've never watched the cartoon but my favorite Joes are WhipDip, AcidWash, Nectarine Todd, Freddy the Fridge, Buttskull, Hawaiian Punch, WetEar, ToggleSwitch, BatGuano, RipFart, RanchFlavor, TallyTwang, BallSack, Cretinair, and PartyDip.

PartyDip was badass.

In a horrifying article about the dangers of Teslas, one point stands out: Teslas automatically disengage self-driving mode <1 second before an imminent crash--not enough time for the driver to react, but enough for Tesla to deny responsibility for fatal crashes, since self-driving "wasn't engaged."

If you're an artist, you'll be "starving." (And probably gay but that's a whole other thread.)

I could do this all day. There's no respect for the arts as honed skills smart people perfect. It's been an ongoing project.

Unless the artists are dead Great White Men.

I told you I'd get to them.

That's a sprite, an elusive, high-altitude electrical discharge from a thundercloud photographed by NASA astronaut Nichole Ayers from the ISS earlier today.

With reported sightings going back more than a century, this phenomenon was first photographed in 1989.

Happy 249th birthday America!

We were born with a rebellious spirit that lives on today. Sometimes I think it gets out of hand and we direct it at the wrong targets. With all of the divisiveness and fear going around, I think it's important to remember - we're Americans.
